Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
No free tool guesses card verification values (CVVs) with results. A CVV is 3 digits on Visa and Mastercard cards and 4 digits on American Express. That leaves 1,000 possible values for a 3-digit code and 10,000 for a 4-digit code. Card issuers count wrong values per card and close the account after a small number of failures. Attempting the guess is also a federal crime in the US.
The CVV is printed on the card. It is not encoded in the magnetic stripe and not stored on the chip. It exists to prove that the person entering the number holds the physical card. Online merchants send the CVV with the authorization request. The issuer compares it to the value on file and returns one of three codes: match, no match, or not processed.
Most of these files are not payment tools. Common payloads are info stealers, keystroke loggers, and fake "checker" pages that log every card number typed into them. The result is a loss of money or a loss of your own data to a third party. Software cannot bypass an issuer's authorization logic from a local machine. The match decision happens on the issuer's system.
18 U.S.C. § 1029 covers access device fraud. A first offense carries up to 15 years in prison and fines. 18 U.S.C. § 1028 covers identity documents and adds separate counts. State statutes add charges. An attempt counts the same as a completed transaction. Guessing one CVV on a card you do not hold falls in the same charge class as a successful charge.
Test payment flows with sandbox card numbers from a processor. Stripe, Adyen, and Braintree publish test card numbers with fixed CVV values, and those numbers work in test mode. Use them to validate form logic, decline handling, and error messages. Live card data requires a merchant account and a cardholder's consent.
