What is ONYX GiftCards?

Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.

What is a Gift Card?

Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.

How it Works?

  • Buy an Onyx Gift Card at these local stores
  • Give your gift card to friends, family, co-workers, etc.
  • The recipient can shop at our select merchants nationwide
  • Your friends, family, co-workers, etc. will present their gift card at checkout to pay for your item(s)

The short answer

A "CVV dump Telegram seller" is someone advertising stolen credit card numbers inside private Telegram channels. Buying from one is a federal crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C. § 1029, the data is usually fabricated or already canceled, and the payment you send is unrecoverable. There is no reputable version of this market, because a legitimate card network would never sell card numbers to a stranger in a chat app.

What the phrase actually covers

The vocabulary gets confusing, so it helps to separate the pieces:

Sellers blend these terms on purpose. A channel promising "fresh dumps, high balance, non-VBV" is marketing to people who already know the jargon, and the jargon is doing the work of making a scam look technical.

Why the channels exist at all

Telegram appeals to this trade for reasons that have nothing to do with security. Channels are easy to spin up, easy to abandon, and easy to run from another country. When one gets reported and taken down, three replacements appear the same week. That churn is a feature. It means no seller has a reputation worth protecting, and no buyer has recourse.

How buyers get taken

I have read enough victim accounts from fraud forums and consumer complaint databases to see the pattern repeat. The mechanics rarely change:

Sometimes the cards are real and stolen. That is worse, not better. Real stolen numbers are typically already flagged by the issuer, so the charge declines and you have committed a crime for nothing.

The legal exposure runs both ways

US law treats card data as an "unauthorized access device." Trafficking in it, possessing fifteen or more of them with intent to defraud, and using them to obtain money are separate offenses, and the maximum penalties reach 15 years for some of them. State statutes stack on top. Paying a Telegram seller does not make you a customer in the eyes of the law. It makes you a participant.

If you already sent money

Do not send more to "unlock" or "verify" anything. That is the second stage of the same scam. Save the chat logs, the wallet address or payment receipt, and the handle, then file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center. If a card of your own was used to fund the payment, call that issuer today and dispute the charge as unauthorized.

If what you actually wanted was cheaper card access

Legitimate options exist and they are boring, which is why they get overlooked. A secured card from a bank, a prepaid reloadable card, or a virtual card number issued by your own bank or a fintech app all give you online payment ability without touching stolen data. Some issuers let you generate a single-use number per merchant, which is strictly better than a dump because it cannot be reused if it leaks.

Protecting the card you already have

The same channels that sell dumps are fed by skimmers, phishing pages, and breached merchant databases. A few habits cut your odds a lot:

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your liability for unauthorized credit card charges is capped at $50, and many issuers waive even that. That protection only applies if you report promptly. It is the closest thing to a real safety net in this space, and it costs nothing.
