Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A sandbox test card is a dummy payment credential used to simulate card transactions in a provider's test environment. It is not a real card, carries no value, and cannot be used to buy goods or services. Developers use sandbox test cards to check payment forms, error handling, and order flows before going live.
Payment processors publish test card numbers for sandbox mode. These numbers trigger specific responses, such as approved, declined, or authentication required. The sandbox test card usually pairs with a future expiration date and a dummy CVV from the provider's documentation. The test CVV is a placeholder, not a real security code.
A sandbox test card helps you verify more than a happy path. Use several test card numbers to cover common payment outcomes and edge cases.
Sandbox credentials do not work in live mode. Live mode requires a real merchant account and real cardholder data. Never use a sandbox test card to attempt a real purchase. A test CVV has no value outside the sandbox, and real card data should not be placed in test systems.
Sandbox test cards are for testing only. Buying, selling, or using real CVV data without authorization is illegal and violates card network rules. Keep production card data out of test environments, restrict access to test credentials, and follow PCI DSS controls for cardholder data. A sandbox test card should never be treated as a payment method for goods or services.
Use the test card numbers published by your payment provider. Match the card brand, region, and response code to the scenario you need to verify. Document which sandbox test card triggers each result, and automate key cases in your test suite.
