Razorpay Test Card CVV: What to Enter in Test Mode
Redeem your gift cards at any of our Merchants
Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
Razorpay test card details are sandbox card numbers you enter in Test Mode to run a full payment flow without moving real money. Use one of the published test numbers, any future expiry date, any three-digit CVV, and the OTP 1234 to complete a successful test payment. These numbers work only with test API keys in the Razorpay sandbox. They are not valid on live payment pages and never reach a real card network.
Treat this list as a starting point. The Razorpay dashboard and official test documentation carry the authoritative list, including cards tied to specific error codes. RuPay cards are not supported in Test Mode, and test cards do not support every feature that live cards do, such as some tokenization flows.
To test your error handling, keep the same test card and enter an incorrect OTP at the verification step. Razorpay returns a failure response, your checkout shows the failure state, and your webhook handler should receive a payment.failed event. Build retry logic and customer messaging around that event rather than around the browser response alone, because the browser can close before the response lands.
Run each method at least once for both success and failure before you move to live keys. Test Mode captures the same request and response shapes as production, so your parsing code gets exercised the same way.
Test cards are disposable and carry no risk. Live card numbers, expiry dates, and CVV values are a different matter. Card network rules and PCI DSS forbid storing the CVV or CVC after a transaction is authorized, and no legitimate processor asks you to hold that data. Any offer to sell CVV data is a sign of stolen card material, and handling it creates legal exposure for you and your business.
