Redeem your gift cards at any of our Merchants
Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
Card testing monitoring watches authorization, checkout, and device data for automated card-number probes. The gains for a merchant: blocked test orders, fewer chargebacks, lower fraud loss, steadier approval rates, and less risk of landing in a card network monitoring program.
An attacker scripts a checkout page with a list of card numbers. Each attempt is small, often under $5, and made in seconds. Most attempts decline. The ones that approve produce an order that the attacker may resell, ship to a drop address, or abandon. The merchant pays the dispute fee when the real cardholder files a chargeback.
Signals that show up in logs:
Blocked test orders never ship. Fraud loss falls to the cost of the monitoring tool plus the staff time to tune it. A test order that ships is a full loss plus a chargeback fee of about $15 to $100.
Card testing drives dispute spikes. Each dispute carries a fee, and a high dispute-to-sales ratio invites network programs. Visa and Mastercard run monitoring programs with thresholds near 0.9% of sales for fraud and disputes, plus minimum transaction counts. Fees and remediation plans follow. Check the current program documents, since Visa replaced its legacy fraud and dispute monitoring programs with the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program in 2025.
A burst of declines on one merchant account raises risk scores at the issuer and the acquirer. Clean traffic keeps approval rates where they were.
Monitoring gives alerts in minutes. Month-end reconciliation gives answers in weeks, after the cards are gone.
Logs of IP, device, and timing support dispute responses and reports to the acquirer. Networks expect documented controls when a merchant enters a monitoring program.
Monitoring does not stop every probe. Attackers rotate proxies, use residential IP pools, and spread attempts across many merchant sites. Rules that are too tight block real customers, and the false-positive cost can exceed the fraud saved. Most programs combine velocity rules, device fingerprinting, 3-D Secure step-ups, and manual review. No public figure states the exact share of card testing that monitoring catches, and results vary by merchant size and traffic mix.
