What is a Gift Card?

Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.

If you want to buy CVV legit, stop. No legitimate seller exists. Every Telegram channel, dark web shop, and forum vendor either steals your money or works for law enforcement.

Card data is stolen property. The people selling it face federal charges, and so do the buyers. A real, working card number with a matching CVV has no honest price tag because no honest person sells one.

What Does “Legit CVV” Really Mean?

CVV is the three or four digit code on a payment card. Criminals steal it along with the card number and expiration date, then sell the bundle as a “check.”

There is no wholesale market, no supplier with an API, and no escrow service that protects you. The word “legit” appears only in scam listings and on police sting pages.

Buyers who think they are making a smart purchase are actually committing fraud. In the United States, using stolen card data is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. §1029.

What Happens When You Try to Buy CVV?

You get one of three outcomes. None of them puts money in your pocket.

In 2023, the FBI and U.S. Secret Service ran multiple carding forums that logged every buyer’s IP address and crypto wallet. They later arrested hundreds of customers in coordinated raids.

Why Do Sellers Ask for Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous. Sellers push it because it is harder for a victim to reverse a payment, not because it protects you.

Law enforcement tracks Bitcoin on public ledgers. They use chain analysis to connect your wallet to your exchange account and your identity.

Red Flags That Scream Ripoff

Real sellers never exist, so every listing is a red flag. Some signals are more obvious than others.

Every one of those features appears in FBI and Secret Service takedown reports. The screenshots come from other victims. The refund policy exists to build false trust.

What Does a CVV Card Cost?

Public carding forums list so called “random” cards for $2 to $15 and “high balance” cards for $50 to $150. None of these products exist.

When police seize carding shops, they publish price lists to show how the scam worked. The prices are bait, not market rates.

Real stolen card data sells on closed criminal markets, but buyers never see it. Sellers reject new customers who cannot prove they already committed a felony, because one new buyer can be an agent.

What Are the Legal Consequences for Buyers?

A first offense for accessing device fraud carries up to 10 years in federal prison. Add wire fraud and money laundering, and the sentence can reach 30 years.

Fines reach $250,000 or more. Courts also order restitution to the banks and cardholders you tried to defraud.

Many buyers avoid prison by taking a plea deal that requires full cooperation. That means giving up the vendor’s username, your wallet seed phrase, and every conversation you saved.

What Happens to Sellers?

Sellers who are not scammers usually work for the government. Agents pose as high volume vendors, complete sales, then identify the buyer’s device.

In one U.S. Secret Service operation, agents ran a fake CVV shop for 14 months. They sold worthless card numbers to 3,000 buyers, then released all buyer names and addresses in a public report.

The sellers who are real thieves get caught eventually. Carding markets that shut down in 2020 and 2021 exposed vendor databases that the FBI still uses to open new cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you buy CVV without getting scammed?

No. The market has only scammers and undercover agents. There is no middle ground where a real thief delivers a working card to a stranger.

Is buying CVV legal if you use it for testing?

No. Using any card number you do not own is illegal, even if you call it a test or a security check. You need written permission from the cardholder and the card issuer.

What if the seller shows proof of other customers?

Proof is fake or staged. Forums and Telegram channels delete negative comments, and sellers swap chat logs with friends to build a false history.

What should you do instead?

Do not buy stolen card data. If you need to test payment systems, use test card numbers provided by Stripe, PayPal, or your payment processor. Those numbers are free, legal, and work in sandbox mode.

If you already sent money to a CVV seller, treat it as gone. Report the wallet address to the FBI’s IC3 and to the platform where you found the seller.
