Redeem your gift cards at any of our Merchants
Onyx Gift Cards is a Grenadian company designed to introduce, market and manage gift cards systems in Grenada for retailers and corporations. We are enthusiastic about the effect and influence we will have on the local market. We intend to expand our systems regionally with a range of product offerings and services.
Gift cards are the preferred way of giving and receiving gifts. They carry a monetary value that can be redeemed for gifts at your favorite store.
Onyx GiftCards are “Open Gift Cards” which means that they can be redeemed at multiple merchant locations. They are standard credit card size, can fit into the average wallet and made of PVC plastic. Onyx GiftCards are Barcoded for security and safety for the consumer and bear a disclaimer at the back.
Onyx Giftcards can be bought with a branded Card backer which is black in colour and is designed to fit the card. There is an area to write a brief message to the recipient as well.
A payment gateway CVV test is a check that runs inside a gateway sandbox, using the test card numbers and test security codes the provider publishes for developers. It confirms that your checkout form collects the code, that your integration passes it with the authorization request, and that your code handles the response correctly. No real card data is involved at any point.
Gateways report the outcome of the code check with single letter or short word values. Wording differs between providers, but the categories are consistent.
Treat anything other than a match as a risk signal in your own rules, and decide in advance which ones you allow to pass.
Sandbox card numbers are issued by gateways for development and cannot be authorized against live processing. The reverse is the problem worth naming: entering a real card number into a sandbox, or sending live authorization attempts on cards you do not own, is card testing. It breaks card network rules, it is illegal in most jurisdictions, and processors detect it through velocity and decline patterns. Accounts get terminated for it.
The CVV is classified as sensitive authentication data under PCI DSS. Requirement 3.2 states that it must not be stored after authorization, even in encrypted form. Test mode does not change the habit you should build. Send the code straight to the gateway, keep it out of your database, keep it out of your logs, and store a gateway token instead so repeat charges use the token rather than the code.
